Before you start, you'll need
- Four Arduino Nano boards
- 20 RGB LED strips for cup zones
- IR sensors for ball detection
- Arcade buttons
Plan the table layout
About 30 minutes
Design cup zones and sensor placement for 20 total positions.
- Mark 10 cup zones on each end of the table
- Plan LED strip routing beneath the acrylic surface
You should see
You have a clear layout with marked cup zones and sensor positions.
Wire the LED strips
About 60 minutes
Connect RGB LEDs to each cup zone with proper power distribution.
- Connect LED strips beneath each cup zone
- Wire power and data lines to Arduino controllers
You should see
All 20 LED zones light up in red and blue when tested.
Configure I2C communication
About 30 minutes
Enable four Arduino Nanos to communicate and coordinate game logic.
- Connect I2C lines (SDA and SCL) between all four Arduinos
- Assign unique I2C addresses to each board
You should see
All four Arduinos successfully exchange messages via I2C.
